The White Barn, which is now our Admission Barn, is the original barn used on the farm.

The north building is where grain storage took place when it was still stored by the ear. The wall slats were used to enhance air movement. The middle section was the milking parlor for the dairy cows and the back section had fencing for the animals. Today it's where everyone enters the Patch during the Fall!

The American-type windmill was developed in 1854 by Daniel Halliday. This design was ideal for settlers on the plains.

Homesteaders, farmers, and ranchers were no longer dependent on natural water as they could drill wells and pump water. It was actually the original wind power!

This Wind Mill has been on the farm long before the Raasch family bought the property. We think it’s been here since the 1930's.
