• Babydolls are small! They are only about 18 – 24 inches tall when they are fully grown. Because of their small size, they’re easier to handle and popular for 4-H projects.

• Babydoll Sheep come from England where they are known for their hardiness and fine fleece. They made their way to the US around 1803!

• Hens communicate with their chicks while they’re still inside their eggs!

• Chickens are omnivores. Chickens do eat plants, seeds, and grains, but also bits of dairy or meat products. Chickens also like to peck around in the dirt and find bugs to eat, for example, beetles, larvae, slugs, and grasshoppers.

• Chickens have a great memory for faces! They have the ability to recognize and remember around 100 different faces (human and chicken).
